Description:	Resumo: São escassos estudos que avaliam a relação das características relacionadas à antecipação da entrada das fêmeas na reprodução com outras características de importância econômica e também em relação ao efeito da seleção genética para antecipação da vida reprodutiva ao longo dos anos. Objetivou-se estimar as tendências genéticas entre características de crescimento e idade à primeira concepção (IPC) e ao primeiro parto (IPP), em um rebanho da raça Nelore sob seleção para precocidade sexual. Foram estimadas as tendências genéticas, através de análise de regressão, para características de 365 (P365) e 450 (P450) dias de idade, ganho médio diário pós-desmame (GMDPOS), IPC e IPP. As tendências genéticas foram de 2,34 a 2,75 kg/ano para pesos corporais, 0,01 kg/ano para GMD, e -0,12 a -0,16 meses/ano para características indicadoras de precocidade sexual. A utilização dessas características como critério de seleção é eficaz em promover mudanças genéticas satisfatórias no rebanho avaliado. Abstract: There are few studies evaluating the relationship between productive traits and the early beginning of female into reproduction and the effect of genetic selection on early reproductive life of a herd over the years. The aim of this study was to estimate the genetic trends between growth traits and age at first conception (AFCo) and first calving (AFCa), in a Nellore cattle herd under selection for sexual precocity. Genetic trends were estimated, using regression analysis, for 365 (W365) and 450 (W450) days of age, average daily gain post-weaning (ADGPOS), AFCo and AFCa. The genetic trends were 2.34 to 2.75 kg/year for body weights, 0.01 kg/year for ADGPOS, and -0.12 to -0.16 months/year for traits that indicate sexual precocity. The use of these characteristics as a selection criterion is effective in promoting satisfactory genetic changes in the evaluated herd.
