Description:	Resumo: Analisou-se o potencial das imagens TM/Landsat-5, ETM+/Landsat-7, CBERS/CCD e IKONOS como base de dados para reforma agrária. Os resultados mostraram que a imagem IKONOS apresentou o melhor desempenho técnico, entretanto, o custo de aquisição impede sua ampla utilização como base de dados. A imagem ETM+/Landsat-7 apresentou bom desempenho técnico, mas, a perda de contato com a plataforma impede a aquisição de dados atualizados. A imagem CBERS/CCD apresenta-se como potencial base de dados, quando se considera o custo, a possibilidade de solução dos problemas radiométricos, a perda do contato com o Landsat-7 e o lançamento do CBERS-2. Abstract. Technical and economical analyses were performed on IKONOS, TM/Landsat-5, ETM+/Landsat-7 and CBERS/CCD data in order to verify their feasibilities to subsidy agrarian reform projects. Results showed that IKONOS data presented excellent technical viability but its high cost prevents its use. ETM+/Landsat-7data, with low cost, presented a good technical viability, however, problems that occurred in the satellite operation, also prevented its use. The CBERS/CCD data can become a good source of data when considerate its cost, the possible radiometry correction, the lost of contact with the Landsat-7 and the launch of CBERS 2.
