Description:	RESUMO - Avaliou-se o consumo, a composição botânica e o valor nutritivo da dieta de bovino em pastagens consorciadas de Brachiaria decumbens e Stylosanthes guianensis cv. Mineirão e de B. brizantha cv. Marandu e S. guianensis cv. Mineirão, sob três taxas de lotação, 0,8, 1,2 e 1,6 UA/ha durante a época das águas e da seca, no Cerrado. A taxa de lotação não afetou as variáveis estudadas. As pastagens com B. decumbens proporcionaram dietas com melhor valor nutritivo, em certos meses do ano, do que pastagens com B. brizantha. As dietas foram compostas por mais de 80% de folha de gramíneras e por apenas 2,1% de leguminosa. O índice de seleção para a leguminosa foi de 0,08, mostrando que os animais rejeitaram este componente da pastagem. ABSTRACT - Mixed pastures of "Brachiaria decumbens" with "Stylosanthes guianensis" cv. Mineirão and "B. brizantha" cv. Marandu with "S. guianensis" cv. Mineirão, under three stocking rates, 0.8, 1.2 and 1.6 AU/ha, were evaluated in regard to the forage intake, botanical composition and nutritive value of the diet of steers, during the dry and rainy seasons, in the brazilian Cerrado. The studied characteristics were not affected by stocking rate. Pastures with "B. decumbens" provided diets with better nutritive value during certain months. The diets were composed by more than 80% of grass leaf and by 2.1% of legume. The selection index of 0.08 for the legume indicated rejection to this component of pasture.
