F. de Conteúdo: This study reports the occurrence of the spider mite Tetranychus musae Auger, Migeon & Flechtmann, 2008 (Acari: Tetranychidae) on banana (Musa sp.: Musaceae) in Brazil. Specimens were collected from banana leaves grown in an intercropping system with cacao (Theobroma cacao L. - Malvaceae) at an experimental site in the municipality of Moju, Pará State. This represents the first confirmed record of T. musae in Brazil.

Conteúdo: The present study aimed to report the occurrence of scale insects, namely Chrysomphalus aonidum (Linnaeus, 1758), Ischnaspis longirostris (Signoret, 1882), Pinnaspis aspidistrae (Signoret, 1869) (Hemiptera: Diaspididae), and Nipaecoccus filicis Williams & Granara de Willink, 1992 (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) on plants of Myrciaria dubia (Kunth) McVaugh (Myrtaceae) in the experimental fields of Embrapa Amazônia Oriental in the municipalities of Belém and Tomé-Açu, Pará State, Brazil. This is the first report of these species on M. dubia, as well as of N. filicis in Brazil.

Hemiberlesia lataniae specimens were collected from leaves and stems of Piper cernuum Vell. and Piper reticulatum L., in a greenhouse, in the city of Belém, state of Pará. The species is reported for the first time within Piper species in Brazil.

(Arecaceae) in Santa Izabel do Pará, a municipality in the Eastern Amazon. This is the first recorded instance of a parasitoid species in A. pseudugesii.
