Description: Abstract: This study aimed to apply the Simple Algorithm For Retrieving Evapotranspiration (SAFER) and MODIS images, along with field measurements to estimate evapotranspiration and biomass in a region delimited by a farm in the municipality of Aquidauna, Mato Grosso do Sul. Images MODIS and observational data from meteorological stations for the months June to September 2012 were used. According to the results presented, we conclude that the SAFER is a very promising algorithm for estimating evapotranspiration and pasture biomass, with emphasis in the possibility of pasture spatio-temporal monitoring in a large scale, order to obtain information for producer support in decision making in terms of planning and farm management by means of analysis of indicators related to economic and environmental sustainability of pasture areas. Este estudo objetivou aplicar o Simple Algorithm For Retrieving Evapotranspiration (SAFER) e imagens MODIS, juntamente com medições de campo, para estimar a ET e a Bio de pastagens em fazenda localizada na região do município de Aquidauana, MS.
