Data interoperability


Since its publication, Alice has been based on the DSpace platform. DSpace implements interoperability features, following established open standards for exchanging data and metadata. One of them is the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting - OAI-PMH, developed by the Open Archives Initiative, which allows the harvesting of metadata and repository data, and is widely used by institutions to collect and make available digital objects.
