Description: The significative consumption increase of the systemic in Brazil has raised problems with resistance in plant pathogenic fungi. Some examples of lack of control in the field due to resistance will be discussed. Most of the studies carried out in Brazil only report the occurrence of resistance to fungicides, without any assignments to the mechanisms or to the management strategies. The reduced number of researchers involved with the problem have lead to insufficient information and lack of resistance management strategies available to the growers.
