Description:	O crescimento populacional e o industrial vêm aumentando o consumo dos recursos hídricos, por isso torna-se necessário gerenciar a utilização deles para que através dos instrumentos de gestão como, por exemplo, a outorga e cobrança consigam impedir que a utilização desse recurso seja realizada de forma insustentável. O presente trabalho visa estimar o DBO (Demanda Bioquímica de Oxigênio) dos efluentes lançados pelas indústrias da bacia do Rio Sergipe utilizando a metodologia do IPPS (The Industrial Pollution Projection System), o software estatístico SPHINX PLUS2 e questionários respondidos pelas indústrias. Onde com a compilação dos dados as indústrias serão classificadas em poluidoras e potencialmente poluidoras, e será estimado a DBO do efluente lançado. The population and the industrial growth come increasing the consumption of the water resources, therefore it becomes necessary to manage the use of them so that through the management instruments as, for example, the grant obtains to hinder that the use of this resource is carried through of unsustainable form. The present work aims at esteem the DBO of the effluent ones launched by the industries of the basin of the Sergipe River using the methodology of IPPS (The Industrial Pollution Projection System), statistical software SPHINX PLUS2 and questionnaires answered for the industries. Where with the compilation of the data the industries will be classified in polluting or potentially polluting, and will be esteem the launched DBO of the effluent one.
