dc.descriptionO objetivo deste estudo foi testar a eficiência de dispositivos intravaginais (CIDR-G®) reutilizados na indução de estro em cabras leiteiras não lactantes, fora da estação natural de acasalamento. Trinta fêmeas caprinas receberam dispositivos intravaginais previamente utilizados por 6 dias (T1, n=10), 12 dias (T2, n=10) ou 18 dias (T3, n=10). Os dispositivos foram retirados 6 dias após sua inserção. Todos os animais receberam 200 unidades internacionais (UI) de gonadotrofina coriônica humana (hCG) e 22,5 microgramas (μg) de D-cloprostenol 24 horas antes da retirada do dispositivo. Após a retirada dos dispositivos os animais foram observados para a identificação do estro duas vezes ao dia por 120 horas. As taxas de manifestação de estro e de gestação não diferiram (P>0,05) entre T1 (80% e 40%) T2 (70% e 30%) e T3 (60% e 50%), respectivamente. O intervalo para o estro (IE) também não diferiu (P>0,05) entre T1 (66,5 h), T2 (59,4 h) e T3 (56 h). Foi observada uma correlação negativa (R= -0,4353, P<0,05) entre IE e a taxa de gestação. Dispositivos intravaginais podem ser reutilizados para a indução de estro em cabras. Induction of estrus in non-lactating goats with reused intravaginal dispositives. Abstract: The objective of this study was to test the efficiency of reusing intravaginal devices (CIDR-G®) in the estrus induction in non-lactating milk goats, out of the natural station of mating. Thirty caprine females received intravaginal devices used previously by 6 days (T1, n=10), 12 days (T2, n=10) or 18 days (T3, n=10). The devices were retreat 6 days after their insertion. All the animals received 200 international units (UI) of human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) and 22,5 micrograms (μg) of d-cloprostenol 24 hours before the retreat of the device. After the retreat of the devices the animals were observed for the identification of the estrus twice to the day for 120 hours. The taxes of estrus manifestation and of gestation didn\'t differ (P>0,05) among T1 (80% and 40%), T2 (70% and 30%) and T3 (60% and 50%), respectively. The interval for the estrus (IE) didn\'t also differ (P>0,05) among T1 (66,5 h), T2 (59,4 h) and T3 (56 h). A negative correlation was observed (R = -0,4353, P<0,05) between IE and the gestation rate. Intravaginal Devices can be reused for the estrus induction in goats.
