Description:	Resumo: Objetivou-se com o presente estudo avaliar a digestibilidade aparente de dietas com níveis crescentes (0; 20; 40; 60 e 80%) de torta de dendê (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) em substituição à silagem de capim elefante em ovinos machos, castrados, segundo delineamento inteiramente casualizado. As digestibilidades aparentes da matéria seca (MS), matéria orgânica (MO), proteína bruta (PB), extrato etéreo (EE), fibra em detergente neutro (FDN), fibra em detergente ácido (FDA), celulose (CEL), hemicelulose (HEM), carboidratos não-fibrosos (CNF) e carboidratos totais (CHOT) apresentaram resposta quadrática com a substituição da silagem de capim elefante por diferentes níveis de torta de dendê nas dietas. Os valores máximos de digestibilidade aparente da MS, MO, PB e EE foram observados aos níveis de substituição com 67,50; 86; 64 e 62,50% de torta de dendê, respectivamente, quando tenderam a se estabilizar. A substituição da silagem de capim elefante pela torta de dendê melhorou a digestibilidade aparente das dietas até o nível de 67,50% de torta de dendê, porém, nestes níveis houve depressão no consumo voluntário, o que justifica tais resultados. Abstract: The research was conducted to evaluate the replacement of elephant grass silages for the palm kernel cake, and the effects on the apparent digestibility in sheep. Five levels of addition of palm kernel cake were evaluated (0; 20; 40; 60 and 80% in the total dry matter) in diets. Twenty castrated male sheep were distributed in a complete randomized design. There was a quadract effect in apparent digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, ether extract, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, cellulose, hemicellulose, non-fibrous carbohydrates and total carbohydrates in agreement with the replacing elephant grass silages by palm kernel cake. The maximum values of apparent digestibility of the dry matter, organic matter, crude protein and ether extract were observed at the replacement levels with 67,50; 86; 64 and 62,50% of palm kernel cake, respectively. The replacing elephant grass silages by palm kernel cake improved the apparent digestibility of the diets to the level of 67,50% of palm kernel cake, however, in these levels there was depression in the voluntary intake, which it explains such results.
