Phosphorus (P) is the most limiting nutrient for common bean productivity in Brazilian soils, playing an essential role in cell division, metabolism, energy storage, and transfer. In this context, bacteria contribute to the solubilization and mineralization of P in the soil, processes that are fundamental to its biogeochemical cycle. This study aimed to evaluate gas exchange and leaf P content in common beans, as well as P availability and microbial activity in the soil under bacterial inoculation and different phosphate doses. The interaction between plants and microorganisms is influenced by the availability of carbon sources derived from photosynthesis, which support microbial growth and survival.
