This paper analyzes the determinants of adoption and the intensity in use of precision agriculture technologies (PAT) by soybean farmers in São Paulo state, Brazil. The study uses primary data from 148 farmers for the 2023–2024 crop year. The analyzed PATs include grid soil sampling, variable rate application, yield monitor/maps, and GNSS auto-steer. The findings show that soybean area, experience, consultancy, access to information, and education positively influence adoption and intensity, while age negatively affects the intensity of use. These findings can guide public policy design and help agricultural extension agents, consultants, and technology developers in their strategies.
