dc.descriptionTwo experiments were conducted to optimize biogas production from cactus feedstock through temporal feeding strategies and evaluate the biofertilizer potential of the effluent. In experiment 1, treatments included cactus inclusion to primed dung at different time points and replacement of cactus with cattle dung once a week: (1) Cattle dung on day 0 + cactus, (2) Cattle dung day 0 + cactus + replacement, (3) Cattle dung day 21 + cactus, (4) Cattle dung day 21 + cactus + replacement, (5) Cattle dung day 42 + cactus, (6) Cattle dung day 42 + cactus + replacement, and two controls (7) cactus only and (8) cattle dung only.
