dc.descriptionIn rice (Oryza sativa L.) there is an extensive genetic diversity collected and conserved in germplasm banks, able to increase the genetic variability in breeding programs. The objects of this work was (1) to evaluate accesses, lines and varieties conserved in Brazilian Rice Germplasm Bank by EMBRAPA with molecular markers to produce germplasm inforrnation, increasing the efficacy of its use in breeding prograrns and (2) to compare different methods of indica/japonica subspecies classification.
