Description: Araucaria angustifolia is the key species of the threatened Brazilian Pine forest. Our abilty to conserva the genetic resources of this important species in ex situ gene banks has been limited by the recalcitrant storage behavior of tha seed. In working toward developing long-term storage protocals,wa studied tha effects of the Interaction of water content and temperature on embryo survival and investigated the relationship between rats of drying and critical water content.
