Description: This research was conducted to test the hypotheses that a) environmental factors (soil temperature and soil moisture) and mangement practices (defoliation and nitrogen fertilization) affect growth and nitrogen fixation of Florigraze rhizoma peanut (Arachis glabrata Benth.) and that b) during the establishment of rhizoma peanut the legume transfers symbiotically fixed nitrogen to an associated grass.
