Conteúdo:	Resumo: A artrite encefalite caprina (CAE) tem acarretado grandes perdas economicas nos rebanhos caprinos de produgo leiteira, afetando caprinos de diferentes racas, idades e sexo. A transmissdo via sémem ainda ndo foi definitivamente comprovada, apesar de sua recente deteccdo, sendo que esta em andamento pesquisas que comprovem sua transmisséo via sémen. Os animais foram submetidos a teste de libido individual onde avaliou-se 0 comportamento sexual, caracteristico do macho na presenca da fémea em estro. Foram mensurados o tempo de reacdo a monta, tempo entre a entrada do macho ¢ a primeira monta, o tempo de reagéo para o servico,sendo que todos os machos realizaram a monta seguida de servigo. Mediante os resultados concluiu-se que os animais embora portadores do LVC, apresentaram boa libido compativel com animais da mesma raga e idade. Abstract: The arthritis bovid encephalitis (CAE) it has been carting great economical losses in production milk pan's bovid flocks, affecting bovid of different races, ages and sex. The transmission through sperm was not still definitively proven, in spite of his/her recent detection, and it is in process researches that prove his/her transmission through sperm. The animals were submitted to test of individual libido where the sexual behavior was evaluated, characteristic of the male in the presence of the female in estrus. They were measured the time of reaction to it sets up her, time between the male's entrance and the first sets up, the time of reaction for the service and all the males accomplished her sets up following by service. By the results it was ended that the animals although bearers of LVC, presented good compatible libido with animals of the same race and age.
