dc.descriptionO objetivo do trabalho foi contribuir para o estudo do perfil protéico do plasma seminal de caprinos e a comparação deste perfil entre animais sadios e infectados com a Artrite Encefalite Caprina (CAE). Foram utilizados seis caprinos da raça Anglo-nubiana, três deles infectados e três sadios, com idade variando de 1,5 a 4 anos. Um ejaculado de cada animal foi colhido através da vagina artificial. Em seguida, o sêmen foi centrifugado para separação do plasma e posterior mensuração das proteínas totais pelo método de Bradford. Amostras do plasma seminal foram processadas e submetidas à eletroforese em gel de poliacrilamida nas concentrações, 7,5%, 12% e 15%, para análise das bandas de alto e baixo peso molecular. Os resultados mostram que os animais portadores da CAE apresentam concentrações de proteínas totais mais elevadas do que os animais sadios e revelaram, no gel de poliacrilamida a 15%, maior número médio de bandas de baixo peso molecular. Portanto, mesmo não havendo sido observada diferença quanto à presença de bandas protéicas entre os animais, a variação quanto à quantidade de proteínas de baixo peso molecular entre sadios e doentes sugere mais estudos sobre o assunto. Electrophoresis profile of seminal proteins in gels with different polyacrylamide concentrations. Abstract - The aim of this work it was to contribute to the study of the protein profile of the plasma semen from Anglo-nubian goat and to compare this profile between healthy and infected animals with CAE (arthritic encephalitis caprine). It has been used six animals being three of them healthy and another three infected, with age varying between 1.5 and 4 years. One ejaculate from each animal was obtained through method artificial vagina. Afterwards, the semen was centrifuged aiming the plasma separation and the total protein analyze by Bradford method. Samples plasma were processed and submitted to electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gels in different concentrations: 7.5%, 12% and 15%, for analysis of the bands of high and low molecular weight. The results show that the animals infected by CAE presented proteins total concentrations higher than found in healthy animals and also showed in polyacrylamide gel to 15% an elevated medium numbers of proteins with low molecular weight. Therefore, although there has not been observed difference between the incidence of proteins bands, the variations observed concerning to the amount of proteins with low molecular weight between the animals healthy and infected suggest more studies about the subject.pt_BR
