Conteúdo: A basic condition for a particular chemical to name as a resistance inductor is the lack of bioaclivity toward pathogenic agent. ln this context, in vitro assays were conducted ln order to test the effect of selected chemicals, presently tested for induced resistance of melon plants, to major pathogenic !ungi. Mlcroorganisms were isolated from diseased roots, stems, leaves and fruits in the Experimental Field of Embrapa in Pacajus, Ce, Brazil. Treatments consisted of Bion (acibenzolar-S-methyl • 0.15g/300ml), L/ppia sidoides emulsion (essencial oil - 6mV300ml), Serenada (Bacil/us subtilis • 0.3mV300ml), Biofertil (foliar fertilizar - 4.5mV300ml), a control treatment without chemical. Each product was incorporated as an aliquot of 300mVL into potato dextrose agar medium at :1:45ºC. Three plates per treatment were used. A disk (7mm) of actively growing mycelium in agar cultura was transferred to the cantar of each plate of ali treatments and incubated at 28:1:1ºC growing chamber. Mycellal growth of lungus was measured by the 3th, 5th, 7th and 10th days after transference. Bion significantly severely inhiblts Phyllosticta and Fusarium growth and slightly .Colletotrichum, Phoma e Lasiodiplodia. The fungicida severely inhibits ali !ungi, whereas Lippla sldoides not only lnhiblt slightly ali !ungi, but also suppress Colletotrlchum sporulation. Biofertil failed to produce any inhibition, as expected.
