Os experimentos foram conduzidos durante os anos de 1983 a 1985 no Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Milho e Sorgo em Sete Lagoas, em casa de vegetação. Foram estudados 28 genótipos previamente selecionados como fontes de resistência a o Schizaphis graminum.
