Descripción: Abstract: The dry period is the most challenging time for animal production, especially for beef cattle raised on pasture without irrigation. At this stage usually the animals lose weight, which can compromise their development in the following period. This activity is also aimed to cause great impact on the environment, especially the issue of enteric methane emission and in deforested areas. The objective of this study was to evaluate the weight development and the emission of enteric methane by crossbred steers (Curraleiro Pé-Duro x Nellore).
