Description: Tetranychus evansi Baker & Pritchard and Tetranychus marianae McGregor are redescribed. The main differences between these two species are: the relative position of proximal duplex setae on tarsus I of the female; shape of empodium II of the male; degree of development of the dorsal spur of the male empodia; lengths of intercoxal setae 3 and 4; sizes of idiosoma, body setae and leg segments. A reassesment of the distribution of both species is provided.
