ABSTRACT - The aim of this study was to evaluate the interrelationship between growth and the occurrence of early pregnancy in Nellore cattle breed females, using discriminant multivariate analysis. Were analysed traits of birth weight (BW), weight at 120 (W120), 210 (W210), 365 (W365) e 450 (W450) days of age, average daily gain pre-weaning and post-weaning (ADGPRE e ADGPOS). To evaluate the association of growth traits with the occurrence of early pregnancy, discriminant analyzes were performed using Statistica software. The results obtained in discriminant analysis showed that birth weight was the main factor responsible for discrimination. Thus, demonstrates that this trait can be used as such management targeting criteria and decision-making and selection practice, in order to enable animals to express early pregnancy.
