Descripción:	RESUMO - A proporção de tecidos de lâminas foliares de genótipos de “Panicum maximum” foi correlacionada às entidades nutritivas, proteína bruta (PB), fibra em detergente neutro (FDN), fibra em detergente ácido (FDA), celulose (CEL), digestibilidade “in vitro” da matéria orgânica (DIVMO); às características morfofisiológicas (área foliar - AF, área foliar específica - AFE, largura e comprimento); e aos atributos agronômicos (matéria seca total – MST, matéria seca verde de lâmina foliar – MSVLF). O delineamento experimental utilizado foi bloco completo ao acaso com nove tratamentos e três repetições. Os cortes da forragem foram realizados com um intervalo de 35 dias nas águas, e 42 na seca, respectivamente três e uma avaliação. O material cortado foi pesado e separado em componentes morfológicos para estimar o acúmulo de massa. Os resultados obtidos foram submetidos a uma análise de correlação linear e canônica, por meio do SAS. A bainha parenquimática dos feixes (BPF) correlacionou-se negativamente com a DIVMO e inversamente, com o FDN, lignina e celulose. A proporção de mesofilo (MES) apresentou correlação positiva com a DIVMO e PB, e com a largura das lâminas foliares. A AFE proporcionou correlações significativamente positivas com a BPF, FDN, FDA e CEL; e negativa com teores de PB e DIVMO. As características agronômicas correlacionaram-se bem com os demais atributos, destacando-se a associação negativa com largura e PB, e positiva com a BPF, FDN e CEL. ABSTRACT Correlations were done between the proportion of tissues of leaf blades of “Panicum maximum” and nutritive entities, crude protein (PB), neutral detergent fiber (FDN), acid detergent fiber (FDA), cellulose (CEL), “in vitro” organic matter digestibility (DIVMO); and morph physiological characteristics (leaf area - AF, specific leaf area - AFE, width and length); and agronomic attributes (total dry matter – MST, green leaf blade dry matter (MSVLF). The experimental design was a randomized complete block with nine treatments and three replications. The forage harvests were done at 35-day intervals in the rainy season, and at 42-day intervals in the dry season, respectively three and one harvests. The material was weighed and separated into morphological components to estimate dry mass accumulation. The results were analyzed for linear and canonical correlations by SAS. The bundle sheath cells (BPF) correlated negatively with DIVMO and inversely with FDN, lignin and cellulose. The proportion of mesophyll (MES) presented positive correlations with DIVMO and PB, and with the width of leaf blades. The AFE resulted in positive significant correlations with BPF, FDN, FDA and CEL; and negatively with concentrations of PB and DIVMO. The agronomic characteristics correlated with the other attributes, especially the negative association with leaf width and PB, and positive with BPF, FDN and CEL.
