| Conteúdo: | The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects height of harvest, saline water irrigation, and organic fertilization on the nutritional characteristics of Gliricidia sepium (G. Sepium). Four harvest height strategies (HHS: 1.20 m, 1.40 m, 1.60 m, and 1.80 m); three levels of saline water irrigation (SWI: 0, 25, and 50% of the reference evapotranspiration (ET₀)); and two doses of organic matter fertilization (OMF: 0 and 15 Mg ha⁻¹) were evaluated. Increasing HHS raised (P < 0.05) dry matter content by 51.95 g kg⁻¹ and reduced (P < 0.05) crude protein content by 45.77 g kg⁻¹ for each increment in harvest height. The application of SWI had no significant effect (P > 0.05) on NDF, ADF, lignin, NFC, and TDN contents, with average values of 503.4, 399.7, 113.7, 207.0, and 598.7 g kg⁻¹ , respectively. HHS did not influence the contents of soluble condensed tannins (SCT) (P = 0.2568) or tannin-bound protein (TBP) (P = 0.4507). There was an interaction (P < 0.001) between HHS*OMF in the rapidly degradable fraction (A), which corre- sponds to the most soluble and immediately available fraction, with higher values observed at 1.20 m HHS, regardless of the organic matter dose. A harvest height strategy between 1.20 and 1.40 m, combined with saline water irrigation and the application of 15 Mg ha⁻¹ of organic fer- tilizer, enhances the nutritional value of G. sepium, improves the potential feeding value, and increases degradability |
