Description: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of seasonal variation and genetic composition on the reproductive performance of crossbred Gyr (Bos indicus) × Holstein (Bos taurus) dairy cows in the subtropical climate of Brazil. We hypothesized that fertility in subtropical areas decreases during warmer seasons of the year and when increasing the Bos taurus contribution in Gyr × Holstein dairy crosses.
