Description: The Geminiviruses are characterized by their unique twinned icosahedral particlemorphology and one or two circular single-stranded DNA molecules which replicale via double-stranded intermediates in the nuclei of infected cells. Besides being agronomically important plant palhogens, this large group of plant viruses have been of interest as potential for construction of plant vectors.
