Descripción:	We propose in this paper to address the effect of land cover change and land cover use on the soil carbon stocks in a Ultisol of the Solimões Formation in western Amazonia, Acre – Brazil. For such purpose, we will be comparing three land cover types: mature forest, pastures and rubber tree plantation.
