Description: Insetos praga em sistemas de policultivo: Insect pests affecting the various species in the SHIFT experimental plantation are currently being observed and collected. The poster presents, among others, several new pests of the useful plants not hitherto reported in the literature, e.g., the leaf-rolling beetle, Hybolabus amazonicus Voss (Coleoptera, Attelabidae), in Brazil. Leaf-sticking "caterpillars" (Lepidoptera, Stenomidae) in citrus and cupuassu. Root borer (not yet identified) in mahogany. Leaf-footed bugs, Crinocerus sanctus (Fabr.) (Hemiptera, Coreidae), and the butterfly Sibine nesea (Stoll in Cramer) (Lepidoptera, Limacodidae) have been observed as pests on orange trees in the region for the first time. Pest control measures and options are discussed.
