Description: Artificial insemination is the reproductive biotechnology with the highest contribution to the cattle breeding. This would not be possible without the success of sperm cryopreservation. However, cryopreservation causes sperm cell alterations, modifying the general metabolism. The objective of this study was to compare different methods for sperm assessment, in order to find the best strategy of analysis and thus provide reliable parameters for the inspection of bovine semen imported to Brazil.
