Description: The forage peanut (Arachis pintoi Kaprovickas & Gregory) is an herbaceous stoloniferous legume, native from Brazilian flora, which has been successfully used in ruminant feeding in mixed pastures in the Western Brazilian Amazon. Genetic variability for traits of interest has been studied through the evaluation of genotypes in the breeding program coordinated by Embrapa Acre. However, there are few studies in the literature that aim to estimate genetic parameters and to use appropriate statistical methods for the selection of genotypes of this species. The objectives of this study were to evaluate forage peanut genotypes, to estimate genetic parameters and to compare the genotype ranking obtained by statistical analyses employed in different data structures.
