Descripción:	Resumo: Realizou-se um estudo em 2014, envolvendo 25 sistemas agroflorestais (SAFs) biodiversos implantados em Mato Grosso do Sul (55°17? e 55°22? de longitude Oeste e 21°58' e 22°06' de latitude Sul), objetivando caracterizar as espécies vegetais existentes, as práticas de manejo utilizadas nos agroecossistemas e formas de uso das espécies vegetais. Constatou-se que os SAFs, tipo quintais agroflorestais, proporcionam expressiva mudança de paisagem, estabelecendo microclimas estáveis no entorno das residências, garantindo bem-estar às famílias; contribuem com a restauração do equilíbrio biológico local; viabilizam a diversificação de atividades produtivas, incrementando a dieta alimentar das famílias e a segurança alimentar e nutricional. Abstract: A study happened in 2014, involving twenty-five biodiverse agroforestry systems in Mato Grosso do Sul State (55°17’ and 55°22’; 21°58’ and 22°06’ S), in order to characterize the existing plant species, management practices used in agro-ecosystems and usage of plant species. It was noticed that the SAFs, home gardens type provide significant change of landscape, establishing stable microclimates in the vicinity of the residences, guaranteeing wellbeing to the families; contribute to the restoration and maintenance of biological balance locally; enable the diversification of productive activities, improving the food diet of families and the food and nutritional security
