Abstract: Based on Sentinel-2A satellite images and meteorological data, biophysical-spectral indicators such as evapotranspiration (ET), biomass (BIO), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Photochemical Reflectance Index (PRI), and Carbon Flux (CO2Flux) were obtained in a reforestation and family farming area in the Caatinga biome, in Piauí. The SAFER (Simple Algorithm For Evapotranspiration Retrieving) agrometeorological model was used, processed in Python. The analysis period refers to the dry season of 2024, from May to October, due to the availability of images without cloud cover. It was observed that reforested areas and native forest stand out in the images, showing the highest values of BIO, ET, and CO2Flux. Therefore, it can be inferred that reforested areas and native forests are essential for maintaining the Caatinga ecosystem and mitigating climate change due to CO2 accumulation. Based on the results obtained, further analyses will be conducted by correlating data collected in the field to estimate soil organic carbon (SOC) using satellite imagery, aiming at the conservation of natural resources.
