Description: The flora diversity of caatinga biome was related to biophysical and human factors as an indication of conservation areas. Multicriteria analysis was used to indicate regions with favorable conditions for greater diversity, through biophysical factors, and regions with less human pressure, based on socio-economic variables extracted from agricultural census. The results were compared with inventories of flora, phyto-sociology and biomass. Some biophysical factors showed significant relationships with the diversity of flora in the caatinga. The areas indicated by these factors were analyzed in conjunction with anthropic factors, thus allowing for the identification of potential areas for conservation in the Caatinga biome.
