Descripción:	Resumo: Este trabalho objetivou determinar os efeitos de praticas de manejo da vegetacao da caatinga e da suplementacao alimentar sobre parametros produtivos de ovelhas Crioulas. A vegetacao lenhosa da area foi: raleada, raleada e adubada, raleada e enriquecida, e raleada, enriquecida e adubada. Concluiu-se que a suplementacao das matrizes, no terco final da gestacao nao trouxe vantagens a sua produtividade, nao devendo ser recomendada, quando a paricao ocorrer na epoca das chuvas. Por outro lado, as diferentes tecnicas de melhoramento da caatinga nao diferiram em seus efeitos sobre o desempenho produtivo das matrizes, provavelmente devido ao ajuste adequado da taxa de lotacao. [Effects of different methods of caatinga vegetation on the performance of sheep in the sertao region of Ceara]. Abstract: This paper aimed to determine the effects of practices of caatinga woody vegetation management and of the supplementation on the productive and reproductive parameters of crioula ewes. The woody vegetation on the area was: thinned out; thinned out and fertilized; thinned out and enriched; and thinned out enriched and fertilized. It was concluded that the supplementation on the last third of the pregnancy did not increase ewe productivity, and it should not be recommended, when the parturition occurs during the raining season. On the other hand, the methods of vegetation manipulation did not differred on their effects on the productive performance of the ewes, due, probably, to the adequate adjustment of the stocking rate.
