Description: This study evaluated the synergistic effect of citric acid and lime oil as natural sanitizers against Salmonella growth in vitro, in the context of foodborne outbreaks from ready-to-eat salads. Using a 22 factorial design, the combined treatment inhibited Salmonella growth after 40 minutes, with lime oil showing a more significant antimicrobial effect (p<0.05) than citric acid.
